Welcome to Holistic Healing Counselling & Psychotherapy
Jennifer Brunner, Clinic Owner
Registered Social Worker, Clinical Traumatologist,
Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDRIA approved
Hello and welcome! My name is Jennifer, and I'm a Clinical Social Worker and Trauma Therapist. I am also a proud "Mama" to three beautiful souls who I'm lucky enough to call my children! My family is where I place a great deal of my time, humbling me along the way and helping me to continually accept myself as perfectly imperfect. When I'm not with my family, I'm spending time with my animals, or enjoying our beautiful mother earth.
I am incredibly passionate about my calling to work with people. For as long as I remember, I've felt a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others. This is what led me to the helping profession, leaving me filled with gratitude to be able to walk with people on their own unique journeys. I've been honoured to work with courageous people in doing repair work at the deepest level, supporting resilience and long-lasting change.
I believe in a holistic approach, considering the healing and development of all aspects in one's life, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. My clinical practices reflect core principles of a trauma informed approach to care, using individuals strengths to empower them in the development or their treatment. I dedicate myself to each one of my clients, and admire the strength and commitment it takes to heal, transform and open up to a more reflective perspective.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy for children, youth, and adults using modalities based on their individual needs. Issues could include stress, PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-worth, and life transitions. I support the ability to restore peace, safety, and gain self awareness by focusing on the behaviour as well as the underlying reasons for the behaviour.
My goal is to create a compassionate and safe environment, and I'm sincere and curious in understanding your experience. I strive to hold a safe space for you to journey through your emotions and challenges, and navigate various life issues to find clarity and peace. A confidential, non-judgemental, and safe therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to me in my work with you. Please feel free to reach out and connect with me, and we can start where you are. Remember, you do have what it takes!

Emily Spagnolo, Clinic Associate
Registered Social Worker, EMDR trained therapist
I am a registered social worker with a masters degree from the University of Windsor and an undergraduate degree in psychology. I hold certifications in EMDR, DBT, Addictions and CBT and take a trauma focused lens to the work. I consider myself a lifelong impassioned learner and am currently working towards completion of my EMDR certification.
I work with adolescents and adults on issues of self esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship challenges. Finding a therapist can be daunting and so I want to provide you with some information regarding how I approach the work to better assist you in your choice of therapist. The philosophy that governs my work is a belief that all healing journey's are unique and all behaviour in some way makes sense. I strive to help you make sense of the various ways you have perhaps had to adapt to environments, challenges and relationships within your own life. The way I approach the work with every client is different however, the constant that I bring is a desire to make sure you feel heard, seen and supported within the context of a safe and secure space. It is my desire to help you better understand how behaviour and choice make sense to you. I work collaboratively with clients to develop an individual plan that is supportive of personal goals. Every day in doing this work I consider it an honor and privilege to bear witness to accompany clients as they endure challenges, successes, understanding and growth.
